A 24-year old housewife identified as Mrs Basira Sagiru, has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for pushing her sister-in-law into a pot of boiling water.
Head of Press and Public Relations Unit of NAPTIP, Mr Josiah Emerole, confirmed the arrest in Abuja on Saturday.
Sagiru is said to have committed the evil crime over a minor disagreement with the victim who lives living with her.
The victim, Hasiya Ibrahim, reportedly suffered high degree burns before some good Samaritans rescued and took her to NAPTIP headquarters in Abuja.
