The police has arrested a certain Erin Lee Macke for allegedly abandoning her four young children at home while she left for Germany for an 11-day vacation.
According to a press release, police received a report that Macke had left her kids unsupervised at home by concerned neighbours.
Upon arrival, police found Macke’s 12-year-old twins, a 6-year-old and a 7-year-old home alone. The 30-year-old mother had left for Germany the day before the police were called. She was also not expected to be back until Oct. 1.
Investigators also confirmed the mother did not make any provisions for adult supervision or care for the children while she was away,” the department said.
Police ordered that she came back to the country and on arrival, Macke was arrested for four counts of child endangerment and one count of making a firearm available to a person under the age of 21.
