Mourning, or morning?

Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted

It’s Sunday morning

Lots of people in mourning

Who died you asked?

The reason is dead

Legend is dead

Justice is dead

Love is dead

The dead can’t be revived

That’s why it hurts so much

Hate is reborn

Injustice comes to life

Race is reborn

Only the poor get to pay for their crimes

Where is the reason?

Where is the justice?

Oh I know, they are all dead and buried

So I’m in mourning

Not morning, but mourning

It’s a sad world that we live in

Looking forward to the day that I will be comforted

In the end, we will all become dust

As I mourn, that thought alone gives me comfort

Comfort knowing that joy comes in the morning, after mourning

Is it morning yet?

No, its mourning, not morning

Oh okay, I will continue to mourn, as I wait for morning to come
