The FG and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have finally reached an agreement.
This is coming after a 12 hour meeting between ASUU and a government delegation led by Adamu Adamu, minister of education.
Biodun Ogunyemi, national president of ASUU, who spoke with newsmen after the meeting said the dialogue yielded “a concrete proposal”, but a decision is yet to be made as they must get back to other members of the organisation.
“Now we have some concrete proposal that we will take back to our members for consideration,” he said.
Minister of education who also spoke with newsmen said ASUU’s demands have been met and the strike will be called off in a week.
