Former Super eagles player Nwankwo Kanu, has reportedly lost $11,000 (N4 million) cash kept inside his suitcase in Moscow, capital of Russia.
According to TASS Russian News Agency, US$11,000 (approximately N4m) was stolen from Nwankwo’s bag while he was traveling from London to Moscow.
Russian police confirming the incident said two loaders at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport were the primary suspects.
The former footballer reported the missing money when he reached Kaliningrad.
“The stolen cash was removed (from the loaders) and will soon be returned to the owner,” Irina Volk, spokeswoman for the Russian interior ministry, said.
