Following the bloody fracas that took place at the APC rally to welcome Kayode Fayemi to Ekiti State yesterday, Governor Fayose’s media aide, Lere Olayinka has accused Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu as the mastermind of the bloodshed.
According to Olayinka, ”Governor Akeredolu brought thugs from Akure led by IDAJO to Ado Ekiti to kill and maim Ekiti people. Idajo and his hit men are in KOMMAND HOTEL, Ilawe Road, Ado Ekiti presently.
Olayinka said governor Akerodolu was quoted saying, “forget about it, Ekiti will remain as an appendage of Ondo State. Akure is superior to Ado Ekiti and there is no reason I, as Ondo State governor cannot install a governor in Ekiti. I’m therefore here to openly show that it is Dr Kayode Fayemi that we in Ondo State prefer as your governor and like I have said before, I’m ready to spend two months allocation of my State to install him as governor even if it is to proof a point that Ondo State is still in control of Ekiti” while receiving Fayemi at the Akure Airport yesterday.
Lere Olayinka also said; ‘In his usual lying characteristics, Fayemi is now planning a Press Conference for tomorrow, with the sole aim of accusing Gov Fayose of planning to kill him and the governor was behind the shooting during his rally at the APC secretariat today.
But War-Monger Kayode Fayemi should remember to mention that the Policeman that fired the shots at the APC secretariat today is KENNETH and he was guiding a chieftain of the APC who came from Lagos. By now, the APC chieftain ought to have been arrested and we hope Fayemi will join us in calling for the arrest of his party chieftain whom the Policeman was assigned to as guard’.
